News items about security vulnerabilities in IoT devices are alarmingly common! Security should be a key objective during the development of every connected embedded device but sadly, that is often not the case. Today, there are numerous security standards and frameworks that could provide guidance but developers are often unsure which ones to follow. Future regulations are likely to require products to be certified against an emerging set of IoT security standards but how should developers get started?
This webinar will explore the range of IoT Security Standards and provide an indication of their common features and requirements. It will then look at a security evaluation of an IoT platform, using the NXP LPC55Sxx MCU as an example.
- What is Security?
- Security by Design
- Barriers to IoT Security
- Overview of IoT Security Standards & Legislation
- Security Evaluation & Testing
The webinar will be presented by Senior Member Technical Staff, Dr David Long of Doulos and Senior Director Strategy, Policy and Advocacy Carlos Serratos of Brightsight. Live Q&A with experts from Doulos and Brightsight will be available throughout the broadcasts.
